The Practice

Symmetry Massage Therapy card and gift card

I’m Rich, and Symmetry is a one-table practice built on paying attention.

I opened Symmetry Massage Therapy in College Place in July 2011, after years of learning how the body actually holds tension, pain, and injury. Everything here runs through me, so the work stays consistent and the focus stays on you.

I start every new client with an intake so your goals and the outcomes you’re hoping for are clear from the first session. From there it’s deliberate, hands-on work, reading the tissue, finding the problem area, and working through it at a pace your body can take.

My whole approach is in the name: balancing the art and the science of therapeutic bodywork. Clinical enough to get real results, calm enough that you leave feeling like yourself again.

The Bodywork

Focused Work, Built Around What Your Body Needs.

Every session is shaped in the first few minutes of conversation. These are the kinds of work clients come to me for.

Therapeutic & Clinical

Focused, results-driven work for the places that hold tension and pain. I read the tissue, find the problem area, and work through it, session by session.

Deep Tissue

For deep muscle issues and stubborn knots that lighter work never reaches. Firm, deliberate pressure, paced to what your body can take.

Prenatal

Gentle, supportive massage through pregnancy, adjusted for comfort and safety at every stage. Many clients return through more than one pregnancy.

Recovery & Rehab Support

Bodywork that complements physical therapy and recovery from surgery or injury, helping you move better and get back to the life you want.

In Their Words

Rich is hands down the best massage therapist that you could choose to go to. The atmosphere at Symmetry Massage Therapy is exceptionally tranquil and inviting. The only downfall is the fact that I never want the sessions to be over.

Going here for massage therapy has given me my life back. He has an uncanny ability to find the problem areas and work through them even when I forget to tell him about something that's been bothering me.

He's exceptionally skilled, thoughtful and focuses on areas where I need attention as part of my physical therapy to rebuild core strength. I highly recommend Symmetry if quality matters as part of your self-care.

Rich is one of the best massage therapists I have used over the past many years. If you have deep muscle issues, I highly recommend him. He listens well and is able to get deeper than many others do.
